Mark's Winn-Dixie car has new look for Texas

For the first time in Winn-Dixie's nine year history of sponsoring Mark's No. 60 Busch Series car, they will debut a special paint scheme this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Mark hopes to set the track on fire with his new "flame" designed car.

The W/D Ford new paint scheme for Texas Winn-Dixie decided to design two special paint schemes this year in honor of Mark's Farewell Tour in the Busch Series. Each car will only run one time, but will be available as a die cast collectible. The second new paint scheme will debut at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May.

"This is really exciting to have a new paint scheme for the first time on the Busch car," Mark said. "Winn-Dixie has sponsored me for nearly a decade now, and it is an honor for me to be able to do something new with them in my final season in the Busch Series. We have had so much success at Texas in the past that it made sense to create a special car for this race."

Mark has won two of the three Busch races held at Texas. He won the inaugural Coca-Cola 300 in 1997, and the rain-shortened race last year. With his victory in 1999, Mark gave Jack Roush his 200th win as a NASCAR owner.

"Texas has been good to us in the Busch Series," Mark said. "I am going to miss running the Busch races here, but I'm not sure the rest of the competitors will miss me very much. It is still hard for me to believe that I have won 43 races in my Busch career. We've still got 10 races left on our schedule this year, and I know our team's goal is to win every one of them."
