Mark overcame early handling issues and a pit road penalty to battle back for a fourth-place finish in
Saturday’s Carfax 250 Nationwide race at Michigan International Speedway. Mark had to overcome early
handling issues and a pit road penalty to battle back to the top-five finish.
“We had a good car today,” said Mark after the race. “We just had some issues we had to overcome, but we
were able to get the car really going. We passed a lot of cars and had a lot of fun in this No. 5
GoDaddy car today. I just have to thank these guys for giving me a good race car this weekend and letting
me drive the car for them.”
The race was Mark’s record extending 71st start at MIS (including all three of NASCAR’s major series,
the IROC series and the ASA series) and the finish was his 38th top-five fun at MIS and his eighth top-five
in the Nationwide Series at Michigan.
Mark will start race 72 at MIS on Sunday, when he starts 15th in the 3M Performance 400.
