Exide Battery Corporation, the world's oldest and largest manufacturer of lead acid batteries, opens its third year of the Exide All Charged UP Award program, open to all NWCS race teams wishing to participate.

At each of the 33 NASCAR Winston Cup Series point events, Exide will present $2,000 to the eligible driver who, at the end of the race, has advanced the most number of positions from the start of a NWCS race to the completion. In the event of a tie, the driver finishing the highest in the NWCS race will be the recpient of the award. The award will be presented during the pre-race festivities by an Exide representative at the next NWCS championship point event.

In addition, Exide will present $50,000 to the eligible driver who accumulates the most Exide All Charged Up Award points throughout the NWCS season. Only the driver who wins a weekly All Charged Up Award accumulates points toward the year-end award. In the event of a tie for the year-end award, the driver finishing highest in the final NWCS point standings will be the recipient of the award. The $50,000 award will be presented by an Exide representative on stage during the NWCS awards ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel
