Sponsered by the Quaker Oats Company through it's Gatorade Sports Beverage, the Gatorade FrontRunner Award includes all NASCAR divisions. Gatorade FrontRunner points are awarded to the top three positions at the halfway lap of each NWCS race as follows: First place - 5 points; second place - 3 points; third place - 1 point. Points are cumulative for all scheduled races. A $10,000 Gatorade FrontRunner Award will be presented to the leader at the halfway lap of each NWCS event. In addition, a $30,000 bonus will be awarded to the NWCS driver who leads in Gatorade FrontRunner points after the 17th race of the season, which signifies the passing of the schedule's halfway mark. At the end of the NWCS season, a $50,000 bonus will be awarded to the Gatorade FrontRunner champion - the driver who has accumulated the most Gatorade FrontRunner points during the entire 33-race NWCS schedule.
