hello there! Although I have been a fan of yours for many years, I am actually writing a request for someone very special to me. His name is Joe Petock and he is my stepfather. He has been battling cancer for over 2 years now, and after many surgeries and spending this past Christmas in the hospital, things are not looking good. Joe is an incredible fan of yours- his hospital room was adorned with Christmas presents of every size and shape- all Mark Martin stuff! It would thrill him to no end to have a signed /autographed picture of you so that as he is homebound and basically bedridden, it would be something that would make him smile! I know that this may be asking tooo much, but I am hoping that whoever reads these guestbook signings, would be able to make this possible! mark's the greatest. i couldn't even watch the awards i was so upset over being so close - again. but then as mark had said, it was a great comeback from a year ago. i was blessed to be at charlotte this past year when he won. what a thrill. keep it going mark, i am in this part of the country.

i am marks biggest fan,, i have a srine in his honer, im moving in a tent out back next week, its took over the house and no room for me. mark has so much drive talent heart and dedication, and his son is his world, i love that about him. i am jack roush's cousin and still reside here where jack was raised, his brother frank and his mom goergette are just a bout 3 and 12 miles from me, along with many other s of the roush clan, and yet ive never met jack as i can remember, left before i was old enough to know, and my goal is to meet mark, and tell him how many people feel as i do about him and that he is the best. 2nd, i will meet my cousin jack, when i do, i want just the chance to tell him how smart and how great he is, and how talented he is in my eye's and im glad he made it from where we came from,, seldom get out of here like jack,, i just want to look him in the eye and tell him i think he is so smart and talanted but most i want to do, is tell him,, im proud of him, and proud to be part of the roush blood line. i will not give up till i do those two things,, i love mark and he does no wrong in my eyes. loved and was my driver before he signed with my cuz. i have every thing any one could want in my martin collection,, a left front qaurter sets to the left of me now as i type off his tauras he had his last win in and last win till this year to. to the right is an autograpged hood,, pic. of him signing and cert. of auth. only 500 of them and each state only got 10 and then the dealears had a lottery to see which dealer got one of them, 10 to a state, i know where 2 are,, here in adams co.,, me and my brother,, i created a monster, hes worse about mark than me now,,,jack sends one of his cars to a festival we have every year, kinfolk landing days, the car drives in parade after its on display for 2 days, my brother did up a 1989 turbo coupe and he did the 93 paint scheme on it is perfect, he perfectly matched each color identical, he some how got the official logo decals that was on the 93 car, only nascar are supposed to have them, and it is beatifull. i call it the family martin mobile. fun to see dust fly from people when they pass and think they just passed martin,,!!!. jack sent kurts car this year to the festival, his mom is the official owner on paper,, she and charlie were the grand marshals of the parade in manchester this year, kurts car behind them in a red convertable, and my brother got the privledge of following behind kurts car. it was a thrill to him, even though he wished it could have been marks car. jack also sent marks car for a radio action we have every year to raise money for the lions club childrens fund. it was on display at the local mc donalds,, my brother was talking to the guy that was hauling it for a while, and every one that came to see marks car, when they got out, first thing they would say" theres 2 of them, i thought it was just the viagra car, the valvoline is here to, which one do you want to look at first,, it was fun.! when he got in it an started it up and drove off,, they were shocked, thought he had stole marks car,,lol. jack is always so generous with the auction every year. he sends things from roush racing to be actioned for the charity, this year he sent back with brother frank, 2 official crew members hat, made just for the crew only, one was rubbermaid an the other was roush racing hats, all # of the crew embroidered under the bill on the roush and # 17 embro. on the other. all were autographed. rubbermaid had just kurts, but roush hat had all of the drivers autographs on it. guess u know who got them, paid dearly, but i have this prized piece in my collection, i gave the rubbermaid to my brother. we are always giving, buying or trading mark. i went down to see him and tossed it to him,, he told me i was turd,, but when i told him it was an early b-day present, he lit up, but then said i was still a turd, i kept the best one. of course i would,, wouldnt have u?. i have many new , old, odd, and limited to few in my collection. i have many autographs of mark and jack. i have 2 pieces that i will kill my self till i get marks john hancock on,, 1 is the fender off the last win in his tauraus car, and the other is a 40 lb. 1998 lim. edition to 1500 porcilan, and marble tauras valvoline car, 1/12 scale made just for roush racing only. I have 0332. this year i killed myself to find another one for my brother, and i did,, its being shipped now. we will have to call 911 when he opens it. the look on his face and the x-citement and happiness and suprise and to see his eyes glow. thats all i need for christmas, i we both have searched so long for another one and did but was way to much money. this one was not cheap but i have a good brother and hes worth every penny hes 12 years older than me, but we have so much in common and to share with each other. we like to tease each other with our awlsom finds of the week and rub each others noses in it that the other does not have it. which is getting harder by the day. we have so much it pitiful. our dad and friends thinks were both nuts. we can talk mark and roush for hours 90 mile an hour and never stop. we love mark, thats one thing that will never stop. even after he retires and quits what he has done for so many years, starting at 12 in a car sponsored by his dads trucking co. and was 4th and ran him off track and he came up the other side of the track in front of them. thats a true driven, and nothing but the love of racing and pure gold heart. he is the cleaneast driver on the track, always racing like the gentelmen hes been his whole life. he is a considerate driver that i have never seen mad or say a harsh thing of any one. thats why i started liking mark, plus i saw how great of a racer he was and would stay. he will be one of the top greatest ledgends someday of racing, but till then lets hope he stays for as long as he has hands to shift with a foot to hit the gas and a heart to race with every turn and reving of the rpm's. MARK YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST TO MYSELF AND BROTHE,, BUT TO SO MANY OTHERS THAT FEEL THE SAME AS I,, #1 FOR EVER. I WISH U COULD TALK AND GET THE CHANCE TO MEET. I ONCE THOUGHT I WAS ONE OF FEW,, BUT NOW AFTER YEARS OF FOLLOWING MARK, I KNOW IM 1 OF SO VERY MANY DEDICATED FANS JUST LIKE ME. WE ALL LOVE U MARK. To Londra and Jamie below. I think it's more of a Los Angeles plastic surgery thing then a general Califonria issue. I find that we have a lasik new york issue here. We have quite a few laser eye surgery new york converts. It's like people are afraid to wear glasses anymore. Oh well I love my fellow New Yorkers with or without glasses. Maybe you two should move to New York! speaking of moving do you know a good immigration attorney . Either I need to improve vocabulary or increase vocabulary because I can't communicate with my US immigration lawyer .

To Londra below (it is a down to earth site), I couldn’t agree more. I work in Los Angeles and there is a plastic surgeon in our building. In my office alone I know people who have had liposuction a tummy tuck and a face lift . I also know a lasik surgeon who tries to convince everyone he meets to throw out their glasses and get lasik and laser vision correction . People are so vain. Dear Mark, My son was a car dealer in Grand Rapids and in Lowell,Michigan at Classic Car Company. He was killed May 15,2002 in a car accident. all the hype of this years championship again....n again he fell short! but i think hes just happy to fnish where he did n we should be too! no other man on the circuit could go out there n have a season like last year and then totaly re-vive his career, so late into it, n come back and finish second! although hes finished 2nd 4 times in his career now and never made it to first, he still shows determination in every race and he NEVER gives up! he is truly what NASCAR needs, a strong role model for all these quick-witted and hot tempered rookies! and thankfully this year he beat them all!!:) in my opion tony stewart shouldnt of won, he shoulda be fined a race just like kevin harvick was! he outright abused a man n they still let him race! what if he "lost control" of his temper in the car...do u know the damage he could of done! n now that he wins hes the man to look up to! i dont think so!i hope next year mark goes out with that same attitude and determination he always has and can wint the championship! cause hes the only one who deserves it! keep up the good work mark and you'll get it!

Mark, My dad used to be a race car driver. He drove the #73. He was really good. He never crashed once, and always came in the top 5. However, I don't think he ever had the will to win, the hunger. You've said many times that you drive to win races, and that if you win the championship, that's an extra bonus. I know what that's like. I go go-carting here in Germany a lot, and I'm learning a lot, from my experiences, my dad's knowledge, and you. You and my dad are my roll models. One day, I'm going to be on the Winston Cup Circuit, and I'm going to drive the 73. I became a Mark Martin fan shortly after the tragic death of Davey Allison (Davey and I were the same age). I have always used Valvoline Oil, so I decided to be a fan of Mark's. What a wise decision THAT was! I cannot think of a nicer, more driven driver out there. The win at Charlotte was by far the most wonderful win that I have witnessed for Mark. Plus, the very first NASCAR race I went to was the first Vegas race. You couldn't write a script for that! So, thank you, Mark, for being the gentleman, family man, and racer that you are. I just hope that someday I might be able to shake the hand of a man that I greatly admire (besides Jesus Christ). Nice site! I am a huge Martin fan myself, and appreciate the effort required to keep up a good web page. I grew up around short track racing in the mid-west. My parents both raced late-models at our local 1/4 mile asphalt bull ring, near Rockford, Ill. I was 9 or 10, it was 1977 I think. It was there I watched Mark win the 'National Short-Track Championships' in convincing fasion. I have been associated personally with some well-known and successful drivers such as Dick Trickle and Jim Sauter. I follow several divisions of professional racing pretty close, scouting young talent. I have, and still do admire many of the sports legends and current greats. But, for the past 24 years I have maintained an outspoken loyalty to Martin. When he pulled it back together in the mid to late 80's I was the first to stand up to support his efforts. I always believed in his abilities on the track. Then, around 1990 Mark and Jack Rousch found each other. A steady pattern of success soon developed for Mark in the 'Winston Cup' series. It's a great time to be a fan too, because Mark's team is finding the formula to combine all the skill, experience, knowledge and equipment to become legitimate contenders once again. Plus Marks driving style has evolved with the increased competition level over the past couple years. We could be just getting started with the good stuff! Enjoy the championship run, we deserve it!

I don't really have much to say about Martin, except for the fact he is a hell of a driver. I will be a big fan of him until the end of my life, or at least until the end of his career which will hopefully not be for awhile. Now, I'm not saying Martin's an old fart, but we need senior drivers to straighten out the younger, more competitive drivers, such as Jr. and Gordon, they need to know they can't always win, and victory is just another thing in life....

I think Mark is the best driver. I was at the Pocono a couple races ago and I had the time of my life. I'm 13 years old and that was my first race. I can't wait till next time. Maybe I can meet Mark next time. Oh by the way, 6 is my lucky number ;)

I first started following NASCAR after my friend took me to a race. I really enjoyed it. My friend is a Martin fan, so he was the only driver I knew of at the time.
