I have a 10 year old daughter that loves to watch you race, when you have to leave the track for a reason, she is done for the day also. Is there any way to officially ask for a picture of you or your car? I am a divorced mother of two (I'm afraid to tell you who the other girl likes to see drive), I have tried to find a fan club but haven't found one to get anything. I would gladly pay a small fee. Thanks, Brenda

I'm really a big fan of Mark's! I've followed his career since he was driving ASA.He is one of the best drivers i've ever watched. It's hard to find a driver who is talented enough to drive super speedways, short tracks and road courses like he can !!! I would love to see him win just one champinship witch he deserves. So good luck Mark !!!

Last summer my 10 yr. old daughter and I got to visit Mark and Matts shops. It was truly the highlight of our vacation to Florida. Thanks to Bonnie Henry, Shanes mother. We are both die hard Mark Martin fans, and can't wait for racing season to start up again. I would also like to thank Mark and Matt for all the stuff they autographed and donated to our Make A Wish event this past Sept. We raised over $6,000 in our small town of West Memphis

MARK IS A TRUELY AWESOME GUY. I LOVE THE WAY HE RACES. AND I LOVE THE WAY HE DON'T BLAME ANYTHING ON ANYBODY, HE JUST TAKES IT STRAIGHT. I WENT TO BATESVILLE, SEVERAL YEARS AGO JUST TO SEE HIS HOME TOWN AND THEN IN NOVEMBER ME MY DAUGHTER AND TWO OF MY BROTHERS WENT TO MARK MARTIN FORD DEALERSHIP. IT WAS GREAT. THE ONLY THING MISSING IS MARK WASN'T THERE. MAYBE NEXT TIME. I AM HEARING THE NEXT MARK MARTIN DEALERSHIP IS IN THE SPRING. MAYBE I CAN GO BACK THEN. WISH MARK THE BEST FOR 2005, WISH IT WASN'T THE LAST, BUT SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO DO WHAT IS NEEDED TO DO. GOD BLESS YOU MARK.

Mr. Martin, My family and I tried our hardest to get anything signed by Mark Martin when my boyfreind was in the hopital for months. We sent e-mails, letters, and phoned everyting dealing with Mark Martin. You did not send anything. We put a hugh #6 on his blue casket when he died. It was the most hurtful thing I ever did, because I wanted something inside the casket to show that you appeciated you loyal fans like they appeciated the job you do. I am a big Sadler fan and I know in my heart that both Elliot oand/or Hermie would have done this if it were me and not the other way around. I will always be a martin fan (for your son or you) because of Ron, but you really ripped the heart out of me when you were too big to send something to a dieing fan. Please don't do it to the next fan. Yours truely, Laurie Sadler

This is one "Awsome" sight as for Mark is 1 "Awsome" driver.. I have always been a dedicated Mark Martin fan since early mid 80's.. I as well am a fan of the 17 car as for Mark listed as owner... Jack Roush knew what he was doing when he picked up Mark to drive for him.. In last few years I have come to know Jacks brother and have met Jack as well, had the honor to meet Jacks mother and father as well,,,, 1 awsome family, no wonder Mark and Jack was able to click together..Both just being so friendly. It was a very sad day for me when Mr. Roush passed, I felt as I did when my own father passed... God Bless Mark and the whole Roush organization!! I just hope that one day I will be able to meet and hang out atleast one evening with Mark.. If I were still a young fellow (5 or 6 yrs. old) I would say "When I grow up I wanna be just like Mark Martin"

Next year is it! A championship in the salute year, can it get any better? I have watched Mark and Jack since their coming together and keep hoping. I have 20 1/24 diecast (mostly owners) from 89 Folgers car through cummins-valvoline to viagra and 2 batman with various paint schemes. Mark is a real ambassador of nascar, and there is NO question he would represent nascar and the championship with the utmost respect. I can't wait til Matt gets in and then watch out drivers, a new champion will be here. "BEST OF LUCK" in 05. Bring home the gold.

Mark, congradulations on a good year. What happened to your truck line? I went to the web site as I liked looking at your trucks, paint scheme, and webpage. Loved the pictures of the shop. Web page changed, no mention of you, and colors to a drab black from the real sharp colors you had been using. Really disappointed with the changes.

Mr. Martin, Hi my name is Megan Pollock. I have recently married what I think may be your biggest fan. He has been your fan for as long as I can remember. His dream is to follow in your foot steps. He is 23 and has been racing with his dad since he was 16 in his hometown stock car races. They haven't had a lot of success because of finacial reasons, but his dream came true last summer when he was offered to drive a late model for a man that had been watching him as he drove in the lower class. My husband Randy wants to eventually make it to NASCAR. In fact he is so set on his dream we want to move to NC in the next couple of years for him to find some contacts. He has the best personality in the world and is the best driver in my eyes. He did meet a family that knows you last spring when he was doing his internship for Enterprise rent a car in Indiana. They said that their son races with Matt. They own a large farm that is sponsered by John Deer. I was just wondering if there was something that you could do to make his dreams come true. Whether it's just sending an autographed poster or if he could meet you I think his life may be complete. You are his hero and he deeply admires you as a person and as a Christian. He loves reading about your walk with Christ. Thank you so much for your testimony. I hope that you respond but if you don't I understand. Thank you for your time. Megan Pollock

I used to watch you race at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK. My ex-husband (Garey White) raced there as well (Sportsman class). I watched you, T.J., Larry, and others battle it out on the track. After moving from Muskogee in 03 to Monett, I have found a lot of memories lurking around here and even met old race drivers from way back then! Darrell Mooneyham is one of them, still racing and has an auto sale business. Met Harley Blansets family. Nice people, but they miss Harley. I think he owned the race track near Branson... Good luck in 05 and God Bless. PS

I agree whole-heartedly with your comments that Mark is with no doubt the classist driver that there is or has ever been. I have been a Mark martin fan for well over 13 years and i am saddened to hear that he will be retiring next year, but in the same token he will go out as a champion.I am keeping my fingers crossed that he brings the championship trophy home this year if not this year then next. Considering where Mark started in points in Daytona, he has moved through the field better than anyone this year. My hats off to him and his team. Thank you Dave Francis

Mark I want you to know that all of your fans are with you on your retirement. Your departure from Nextel Cup will surely bring a tear to my eye but through the tears I will be able to smile thinking of all those race days when you went out there and showed them how it was done. Both my family and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to do in life and will forever be Mark Martin fans. You are a wonderful role model and by far the most honest down to earth driver NASCAR has ever had. The number six car will not be the same without you and neither will NASCAR. You have left a lasting impression on every fan of the sport and there is not one fan out there that does not respect you. We love you Mark and you will be missed!

Over the last ten races you have proved you are the best out there. And when you do get your championship I would love to be next to you. It would be almost as great as the birth of my children. I've always been a fan since 1986 and it is a dissapointment to see you retire but I do respect what you have done for this sport and what you have accomplished for this sport. But I do not appreciate the way you let other drivers shove you out of the way. I do respect the way you handle yourself around the racetrack, but I would love to see you shove some of them out of the way once in awhile. Other people have done it why not you. I am one of your greatest fans. The way you were pushed out the championship by your peers, and the way you ran before the chase started on the last ten races, the way you ran then was the way should finish at least the top five. Your crew and the way you drive, your driving technique, and your experience for the sport makes you, the number one driver in the chase and I think the you are the best driver in the cup chase. And you will win it!!!!!! I would love you to sign the balloon car I have for you, and I also have other things love you sign some other things in my house. I would even love you to come over for a good old fashion barbeque bring whoever you want just let me know. Just for a good time. Sorry I could not find your fanclub. Hello, Have always been a fan and you will be missed!!! It is really sad to have as many of the "original" Nascar drivers decide to go at the same time. Having a hard time accepting all of the "young guns". Do not get me wrong there is definetly talent, but they have a different attitude about the whole Nascar scene, a lot of them are 1st generation drivers, a lot of the "old timers" have had racing bred into the genetic make-up. Anyway, I will get off my soap box but you will be missed!!!

Mark, It was Aug. 1976, Springfield MO, Fairgrounds the first race I ever attended, of course you won and I became a fan. It wasn't just that you won, it was how you did it, your character, drive to succeed, your honor. Yes I'm selfish and hate to see you go!! There will be a massive VOID in Nascar and my weekends when you leave. No other driver has made such a contribution, coupled with how you did it as you have. There are some other drivers that have won Championships, however NONE of them can or will come close to the sportsmanship you brought to the track and in most of the cases wouldn't have won a championship if they had. I would like to thank you and your family for all you have given me and my family both in Racing and Life values. The biggest thing I have learned from you is, it's important to win but it's more important HOW you win. Thanks, again and I will continue to follow and support you in what ever you choose to do and willingly give you back to your family which they deserve!!

MARK MARTIN, AS A YOUNG KID I BEGAN WATCHING STOCK CAR RACING AND MY FIRST HERO WAS DAVID PEARSON IN THE # 21 WOOD BROS. MERCURY. IN LATER YEARS I WAS A FAN OF BILL ELLIOTT. THEN I BECAME A FAN OF YOU AND BILL. MY SON WAS A FAN OF DAVEY ALLISON AND ALLEN KULWICKI UNTIL THERE UNTIMELY DEATHS. AFTER THAT AND EVER SINCE WE BOTH BECAME DEVOTED FANS OF YOURS. I HOPE YOU CAN WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN LIKE KULWICKI WON OVER BOTH ELLIOTT AND ALLISON IN 1992. I STILL BELIEVE IN MY HEART THAT THE 1990 CHAMPIONSHIP WAS STOLEN FROM YOU, IF INDEED MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECT, THAT , THAT WAS THE SAME YEAR THAT NASCAR DOCKED YOU 15 POINTS FOR A 2 PIECE BOLTED INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTEAD OF A WELDED ONE AND THE SAME YEAR THAT THEY LET EARNHARDT SENIORS PIT CREW PUT HIS TIRES BACK ON HIS CAR AT THE END OF THE PIT ROAD, THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A NO NO. TALK ABOUT FAVORATISM. WE WERE SADDENED TO HEAR THAT YOU WILL RETIRE AFTER THE 2005 SEASON. IF IT WAS UP TO ME I WOULD RETIRE THE #6 FOREVER IN YOUR HONOR. I WOULD ONLY ALLOW THE #06 FROM THEN ON. MY HEART IS ALSO SADDENED BY THE FACT THAT MY ONE AND ONLY SON THAT I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT IS NOW FIGHTING IN IRAQ FOR ALL OF US BACK HOME. MY HUSBAND AND I GET A LITTLE RELIEF ON SUNDAYS WHEN YOU AND THE #6 START THE RACE. YOU ARE ONE CLASS ACT TO FOLLOW. YOU ARE A GENTLEMANS DRIVER. YOU DONT SPIN OUT OR CRASH DRIVERS TO GET AROUND THEM, YOU USE YOUR HEAD AND YOUR CAR AND YOUR CREW. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP PURSUIT THIS YEAR, WE WILL BE PRAYING AND PULLING FOR YOU. THE ROUSH/YATES ENGINES SEEM TO BE PAYING OFF. OH, BY THE WAY MY FATHER IN LAW WAS BORN AND RAISED IN MARIANA, AR., YOU ARE A TRUE HERO, GOD BLESS IN ALL THAT YOU DO, THANK YOU.

Mark, Out of any of the past 10 seasons or so that I have been a #1 fan of you and your team, I feel that this season told a story about what Mark Martin is made of and what the Roush organization can do. Listening to you race by race, I hear a confident driver who can make the Crew Chief understand what the car is doing and usually why it is off and how to fix it so you can drive with confidence. Many of todays NASCAR stars are not the caliber of driver that you are when you look at the entire pkg. Sure they can drive, but when their cars go bad, they usually cant get it back. You always adjust the cars great for a long run and that is a great strategy, because in the big picture, the season is one great big long run, that is just stopped in between tracks for a week long pit stop. Glad to see you gunning for the points championship. You deserve it, I as are many will be pulling for you and the 6 team to get it done this year. Go get them at Lowes. 6 Races to go, maybe an omen, but I think it means something for the 6 team.. Go Mark go, get up on the wheel and stay there until you get the championship you so badly deserve. Thanks, One of your greatest fans, Jay Mihal 594 Wellington Hill Rd, Manchester NH, 03104

I am relatively new to Nascar (only watching since 2001), but it only took me 3 races to figure out who was the very best driver in the field...Mark Martin. My family has been very well-trained, do not talk to me when the race is on, unless it is broke, bleeding or going down for the 3rd time. When the question is asked, "how bad do you have it?" My entire family can say in unison, "Mom has it really bad!" My latest idea was to get a sign made of #6 that now graces my pop-top on my black Mazda Miata. Go for the Gold, Mr. Martin-you more than deserve the Cup!

I enjoy watching Mark drive that car the way he does. Most recently, with all the advances in technology, I have my HD television going, computer on (TrackPass with PitCommand)and my headset plugged into my computer. Yes, I look ridiculous, but I feel like I am right there at the track with Mark and the pit crew. I call it Fantasy Pit and Backseat driver; I scream along with Pat or argue with the calls made! Thanks for being a good, clean driver. You are the man! By the way, I drive a convertible Black 2002 Corvette with a custom paint race scheme and a big "6" on my windshield. Good luck Mark, keep those belts tight and see you at Texas!

Since my wife and I started following NASCAR in 1986 I have been a MARK MARTIN fan and she has supported anything named Earnhardt. It helped that Mark and Dale were good friends. I have been a FORD guy since forever. Question: What does Mark drive on the street: Mustang Cobra; F150 Lightning; Marauder.

Not only for the way you deal with the races, but the way you deal with the hardships we all face in our lives. You keep pluggin' -- you'll get there. I've been a fan of racing and Mark Martin for as long as I can remember. My dad was from the old school, the more "rubbin and tradin paint" the better! We attended races in Batesville and surrounding states during Marks early years. Recently I was in Batesville on business and had lunch with some old friends. During lunch at a nearby table, a couple was talking with the waitress about having driven from somewhere in Minnesota just to visit Marks Ford dealership. The waitress made a comment about Mark being "unfriendly and/or rude" in public with his fans. That comment hit a nerve and I had to reply (I always say what I think and needless to say, it lands me in trouble from time to time!) My "polite" response to her and everyone in the immediate vicinity was this "young lady, until you live in the public spotlight or media attention, you have NO RIGHT whatsoever to place judgment on any one...the toil of living with that type of pressure every time you set foot in a public establishment, whether it is to have dinner with your family or to buy a pair of socks, can become very annoying...the pull and tug constantly of being in the public eye...everyone needs some downtime and freedom to be themselves without being pulled this way and that!" I felt better after I had my say and was applauded which embarassed me! The demands of the public can become tiresome, my exhusband is retired from rodeo and I do understand those situations of wanting to blend in and not be the daily focal point. Good luck on the remainder of the year! And remember, those of us who were with you in the early years, are here with you for the long haul!

Mr. Martin, Hello, my name is Bettie Jeanne Gray, but I really prefer to be called "BJ" or "Bettie" and never "Bettie Jeanne". I severely handicapped and I am only going on 19 on the 30th of this month. I have paralysis in both legs and my right arm and hand, of an unknown progressive and deadly neurological condition. The doctors still do not know what it is exactally, but they have been working on it for a good while now (since I was 16). I really like how you race and I really like how FORDs move quickly on the asphault. I have an uncle that was born on November the eighth, in the same year as you were born, and we both like how you try to beat the living tar out of the other race car brands (that are not DODGE or FORD) made. I am really looking forward to hearing from you and being one of your e-mail/pen pal buddies. Whatever you want. THANKS FOR BEING ONE OF MY MANY HEROES! From: BJ

Mark, I heard a great story about you yesterday. It made me smile all day. I spoke with the husband of someone who grew up on your street. They would hear your engine start up, and her mother would yell, "Everyone get out of the yard!" You would race up and down Maple, around the tree ... and you weren't even 16 yet! A true racer. Hey Mark , I have alot of respect for you and your crew and really glad that you have a great team (better than 2003) but those engines as got to last ! Daytona , Pocono and now Chicago where you all had top 5 cars ! Please I really want to see you and the team win a Championship . What I don't understand is almost just you who has engines woes in Roush Racing . Also those unnecessary parts failure at Martinsville , Charlotte and Michigan where you all had top 5 cars ! I'll always be a fan of yours , you're in my opinion the best driver out there. You have the best driving style ! I really can't imagine how you felt after that Chicago race, ouch ! I really still hope that you can make it in the top 10 before the cut off . All you have to do is never give up and I know you guys won't . I wish you the best of luck on the track !! Your my hero and my Idol !!!!!!!!! I really hope that i can meet you one day !

I am a long time fan, even through the rough times i still stood by, I and my husband always have our little disagreements on the races because he likes dale jr and i am always true to you, I use to work at a convenounce store here in michigan and one of the delivery guys would always give me the up date on you, appariantly his father-n-law and you went hunting together, and live by each other. I am an all time fan, I love watching you race, I just think you are one of the fue drivers left for the love of the race and your not a bully. no matter what happens you are the number one racer i my books. a race fan forever.

Mark is the best! I just wish they would look into all the problems with his engines. Something is not right. If he didn't have all these engine problems he would win alot more races. He is a great driver.

HELLO, I AM WONDERING HOW I COULD GET AN AUTOGRAPH FOR SOMEONE. IT'S MY SISTERS BOYFRIENDS BIRTHDAY AND HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES MARK MARTIN. HE HAS A ROOM DEDICATED TO ONLY HIM. I FOUND A REALLY COOL PICTURE THAT SOMEONE DREW OF MARK IN A GAS STATION IN EAST TROY. I THOUGHT THE ULTIMATE GIFT WOULD TO HAVE THIS PICTURE SIGNED FOR HIM. DOES MARK GO ANYWHERE AROUND THE WISCONSIN AREA FOR AUTOGRAPHS OR DOES HE ONLY DO THEM AT THE RACES? I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT SIGNED BY SEPTEMBER IF POSSIBLE, BUT ANYTIME WOULD DO. THANKS.

I have been a Mark Martin since 1975 when Mark was racing in Batesville, AR. at the dirt track. His biggest rival then was a guy named Tommy Lassister but Mark came out on top most of the time. I enjoy watching Mark race and I believe Mark is one of if not the most considerate drivers on the track. I have a of collectiables that I have accculated over the years of Mark and still collecting. Mark I have a lot of respect for you for your years of making racing what it is today. Good luck and God Bless America. Malcolm Rainwater Biloxi, Mississippi

I will be at the Pepsi 400 in Daytona routing for you to win. Will also be at Homestead in November. Wouldn't miss attending these races for anything. You're a great driver. I've been a fan of yours for quite a few years. Even took time from work last year to get your autograph at Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale. Do you feel it's about time that Roush looks a little deeper into why it seems your car, more than any of the other Roush cars, seems to end up having so many problems resulting in DNF's or laps down. I hate to say this, but I'm beginning to feel that it's not all bad luck. Keep up the excellent driving; My wish is that for the remainder of the year you are given a car as good as you are a driver. Then, you'll have no problem being on that stage in NY at the end of the season. I wish you the BEST OF LUCK in California tomorrow, 6/27.
