hey Mr. Martin, i just want to say you HAVE to be the greatest driver in the WORLD! I know exactly how you must have felt this last year with your ailing back. I too had 3 back surgeries in the last 13 months.I just think its incredible to be able to climb into a stock car and with all that pain, still have a great season. Once again, i just want to say how much i admire your determination and want you to know i collect all your memorabilia and consider myself to be one of your greatest fans! Mark, congratulations on another successful season. Not the one we had hoped for but, can't be disappointed with 3rd especially after all the pain and bad luck you endured throughout the season. I read an article were you and Dale Jarrett were talking in Homestead, and it read "everyone deserves the championship, because all the teams work just as hard as the next but, DJ just caught all the breaks and that it was his year". Well I think that is very true and I hope that all of the other teams have enjoyed their success through the years because I feel that Roush racing is about to embark on a long streak of consecutive Winston Cup titles. Along with yourself, Jeff Burton, and Matt Kenseth, championships will be a common name in the Roush stables.

I have grown up watching NASCAR with my Grandparents and I have to tell you that you were my Grandmothers favorite driver. When I moved to a different city we used to call each other during the race. I am a Rusty Wallace fan and when you two were racing close we would tease each other. I lost my Grandma to Parkinson's diease last May and it has been a very difficult time. Every time I would watch a race I would get an urge to call her when you were doing well or if you and Rusty were battling it out. I know now at all you races and thru you surgery she was there looking down on you and protecting you. She was a very wonderful and caring lady and I think we are all lucky to have her watching over us.

I think Mark is the greatest, He is always correct in the publics eye and a clean, aggressive driver. I wanted to say that he is the perfect ambassador for Nascar and life in general.
