Mark appeared headed for another
quality finish, running consistently in the top 10, when the Rousch
Racing driver was forced to make an unscheduled pit stop on lap 119
to tighten loose lug nuts on the left rear wheel of his Ford.

The snafu dropped him to 18th in
the running order, but Mark perservered to finish 10th, his 11th
top 10 of the season. He also led a 17-lap segment early in the
race to claim five Winston Cup bonus points. The outing left him
fourth in the standings, 176 points behind leader Dale Jarrett.

"We got a 10th place finish, but we
didn't really run very good." Mark said. "I'm not proud of how
we ran. This race team has won me races on pit road and gained me
a lot of spots. We had one little hiccup today, but it wasn't
a big deal.... We've got an awesome race team with great pit stops,
but we weren't fast enough today."
