An obviously agitated Mark made a
beeline for the Robert Yates Racing crew of Dale Jarrett at the
end of the race. There had been a misunderstanding between Jimmy
Fennig, Mark's crew chief, and Todd Parrott, Jarrett's crew chief,
during the race and Mark and Parrott got into a shouting match
by the gas pumps.

Fennig and Brad Parrott also exchanged
unpleasantries before cooler heads prevailed.

As for the race, a lack of speed
did Mark in.

"We made a couple of adjustments and
freed the car up a little bit, but the cloud cover came in and we
got a little tight." Mark said. "The team did a spectacular race
and really should have had a chance to win. ... Everything we had
was going our way, but we just weren't going quite fast enough
to pull it off.
