BEN LESLIE LOOKS FORWARD TO UPCOMING NASCAR SEASON

January 4, 2002
Ben Leslie is looking forward to his first full season as The Viagra Car a Winston Cup crew chief. Leslie, who guided Kurt Busch to some impressive performances during the 2001 season, was recently named Mark's crew chief. In addition to working as Busch's crew chief in 2001, Leslie also previously served as Johnny Benson's interim crew chief in 1998. He has worked with Mark in the past, serving as mechanic and rear tire changer on Mark's Winston Cup car in 1997, and working on Mark's Busch Grand National crew for three years.

"I'm very excited about the opportunity to work with the No. 6 Viagra team and with Mark Martin," Leslie said. "It is a really great opportunity for myself and this team. We want to be competitive every week and we want to win races. We are looking for some wins in 2002. I don't know if that is two wins or 10 wins, but ultimately we want to be in the hunt for the championship in November. I hope we can provide a fresh perspective on things and just do our part to help the No. 6 Ford Taurus move back up to the front."
